Here’s a photograph of the rudbeckias in my parents’ fence garden from July. Looking back on warm summer days is just the thing for cold winter January days isn’t it? Or maybe it just makes you long for the warmth of Spring and Summer even more!

Dear Dave
That is such a "golden moment" picture in your parents garden. I can't imagine having a garden without those beautiful bright flowers ? .. I think a lot of us are going to be pulling out last summers pictures to admire again during these dark dreary months … thank heavens for pictures ! LOL
Joy
It does make me smile!
Joy,
"Golden moment" is right! I've been looking back at a lot of pictures lately. It makes me realize that when I'm in the season I tend to take it for granted.
Darla,
I'm glad it did! 🙂
I love the bright and bold color of the Rudbeckia….truly a plant that needs almost nothing and continues to bloom and bloom!
Glad you brought up BES. I've been thinking about them this week. Lots of little seedlings are in the grass path in the upper garden. Seeing summer pics reminds me to move as many seedlings as possible to fill in great swaths of yellow for Spring to Summer bloom.
I do like looking back at summer pictures at this time of year and planning the borders for the coming summer
The perfect anodyne for the snowstorm currently blasting our shores, Dave. Love the stone edging snaking its way along the border, too.
Very restful photo, Dave. I love the wandering border. 🙂 Happy 2010.
