Garden Blogger Fall Color Project: The Maples of Maryland

I have always loved maples. When I was a kid I’d climb the maples at my grandfather’s house in Pennsylvania and watch them as they changed colors in the fall. The fall brilliance of a maple is something to be cherished and remembered. It is one of the greatest fall trees and Kim over in Maryland has two wonderful blazing red examples of fall in her yard. Who wouldn’t want to look out their office window and see these wonderful trees? Go take a look at what Kim at An instrument of Grace gets to see everyday! Of course the fall color is for a limited time only…

  1. Now that is just plain cool to see my post referenced on your blog. Thanks!! 🙂 I’m really enjoying seeing all the color from all over.

  2. Kim,

Your welcome! Thanks for participating in the GBFCP. This really is a lot of fun to see all the great colors, yours included, around the continent.

    Racquel,

We’re still in the same boat here in TN. Not much color yet, just spots. The dogwoods are starting to turn along with the sassafras. Oh and of course my stressed out maple that was buzzed by the deer!

  3. I love the maples too. They are so pretty up north and beginning to turn here too.

Thanks for faving me. Finally! lol I noticed you had a different “In the Garden” as a fave a long time ago but never mentioned it. Too funny Dave. Gives me a bit of a giggle-you don’t mind do you? I hope not. ttyl

  4. Lola,

Those reds are amazing aren’t they? Maples are just so perfect for fall. Of course I like them in spring and summer too.

    Tina,

Oops! I guess I got it mixed up! You should have said something I would have added your blog as a fav immediately. 🙂

    Fran,

Thanks for coming by to look at the colors. It’s been fun to watch them so far this fall. I’m sure there are still many more places to visit coming up. The colors of fall make this one of my favorite times of the year!

  5. You have beautiful autumn colours! That is what I miss about living in the east where the colours are so much better than they are here. We tend to have yellows and rust only … I miss the red of maple leaves turning in autumn.
