How would you like $100 to use in your garden? If you would then this might be your lucky day! Recently The Home Depot spotted me a little gift card to accomplish a little project in my yard and now they are offering one to you worth $100. I only have one card to give away so to decide who gets the card we’ll draw names from a hat.
Here’s how to get your name in the running for the $100 gift card to The Home Depot. Visit The Home Depot’s Garden Club website where you can find all sorts of nifty ideas and projects to use in your garden then come back and tell me which one would you like to tackle in your yard or garden!
While you’re there feel free to explore and see what they have to offer. Although they haven’t asked me to reveal this I registered for the garden club a while back and have received some nifty coupons through the email. The gladiolas, oxalis, and caladiums that you will see later in the season on this blog are a direct result of a Home Depot coupon. The Garden Club has a few other benefits they asked me to mention like the ability to get answers to your garden questions within 24 hours. Plus they offer regional gardening advice to members.
To increase your odds of winning the $100 there is one more thing you can do. Post about a project that you would like to do for $100 or less on your blog. If you do that and link back here to this blog I’ll drop your name in the hat two additional times! If you don’t have a blog, don’t worry, just send me an email with your ideas in a post format and you’ll get a guest spot on this blog (this is only an option for those who don’t write on blogs). If you take both of those options you will end up with three chances in the hat for that $100 gift card. Once for commenting here with a project from The Home Depot garden club and twice for blogging about a $100 project on your blog.
You must have your post up between May 7th and May 12th. I’ll put all the names in the hat on May 13th and post the winner on May 14th! This is only open to folks in the United States.
Have fun gardening!

I think I will actually build a picnic bench for the end of our new humongous row garden. A nice place to sit and look at all the weeding that has taken place. Or a spot to have iced tea while working in the garden. I have never actaully seen this site before so it was a good find. Thanks for the info.

Hi, Dave – of the projects listed on the Home Depot site, I would love to lay out a garden path. However, that would only be a means to an end. At the end of the garden path would be an arbor (guess where i got that idea?
Along the lines of the “Build a Ring Toss” project, I would build a game area that included a horseshoe pit and perhaps a place to play volleyball.
We put in a raised garden bed a couple of months ago, and now we just need a walkway. I am thinking a garden path! The pavers in the grass look cute and will be a nice addition to the backyard.
I would love to build a ring toss. Or a cornhole set!
I want to lay a garden path. My last yard had one and they are so nice to have.
I’m choosing “maintaining my lawnmower” which basically means “I need a new one!” – that $100 would help tremendously toward this!
An arbor for the patio so the PNW sun that peeps out a few minutes a year doesn’t burn me.
Well, I *need* to repair/repaint my fence, but that hardly seems fun. I need to learn more about how to care for the perennials that I inherited with my new house. I’d really like to build the planter/storage box/bench. That would be perfect for my deck!
Picnic table. Hands down. We have family dinner with out extended family every weekend and it’s getting warm here! It would awesome to have everyone at one table out on the patio this summer!
I’d “grow a putting green” in the back yard for my husband!
Great giveaway – thanks!
I have a super small yard but there are still tons of things I want to do.Presently I am thinking most about putting in a rose garden.
Hi again Dave- I just posted a project with a link back to this post of yours, on my blog. I am not sure if I did it right but when I hit create a link on your blog, it created a whole new post on mine. I must have erred somehow. Anyway, just thought I would let you know and the post is up now on smallgoatgarden.
Thanks for the chances to win!

Hi Dave, I just posted a project I would like to build if I were to win the $100 giveaway. There is a link back to your blog and one to the Home Depot Garden Club Website. I gave you an extra link in my righthand column back to your blog.

Oops – was I suppose to come here first and tell you I would like to build an arbor with a vine going up it? And then come back and tell you I posted it? Guess I did it all at once the first time. But just to cover my hide I'm telling you even though I did it backwards! 😉

I’d build the storage bench- you can never have too much storage or too much seating!

The gift card would go a long way in helping us to lay pavers to extend our current 10×10 patio. We would add a firepit/conversation area to our outdoor dining room. Thanks for the opportunity
There’s so many things I would like to do to my yard and garden. My son built me an arbor several years ago, and I’d like to get it primed and painted and then plant a passion flower or Texas Evergreen wisteria over it and put it by our company parking area. I’d also like to put in a putting green for my DH. He’d love that as a surprise. Thanks for this opportunity.

I just blogged about your giveaway and what I would do with the gift card. I’d love to be able to put that vine over the arbor. You can check it out on my blog.

So many to chose from but I would start with building a raised garden bed. Thanks!
