To say that this month has been difficult is an understatement. My time in the garden has been minimal and its current state is more akin to a wild meadow (and that’s being kind) than a well tended garden at the moment. Fortunately we still have some very reliable blooming flowers to show for Garden Blogger’s Bloom Day. I’ve included some links to my previous posts about these flowers that you are more than welcome to visit. If not just enjoy the blooms!
Pink Gladiolas
Celosia
Russian Sage
Blue Morning Glory
Pinkish-Purplish Crape Myrtle
Purple Homestead Verbena
Lots of Zinnias!
Red Zinnia
Pink Zinnia
Yellow Zinnia
Sunflower!

I've always enjoyed the toughness and beauty of Zinnias – and that red one is really nice. Happy GBBD!
What a beautiful gladiola! I loved the zinnias too. All of your flowers are lovely. I must give Russian Sage a try again. I've planted it twice and it didn't grow in my garden but I love the airy look it gives. Happy Bloom Day!
I have a couple zinnias blooming. I really like them. I have a crepe myrtle that is 2 colors, red on bottom, dark pink on top. It is pretty. I wanted the red. Now, thanks to you, I can propagate & have more of the red ones. When it produces suckers, that is. lol
The Glad is a stunner and I love your Zinnias and the sunflower!!
Happy GBBD 🙂
Great reliable plants here. Hope you are doing fine Dave…my son experienced a loss on Wednesday, sigh.
Hi Dave, This is a very nice post. I hope you and your family are doing well.
I don't think there are any flowers that say "summer" better than zinnias and sunflowers. They seem to say it is summer and it is hot in bright living color.

My favorite is the Pinkish-Purplish Crape Myrtle.
