Tuesday evening several of us Tennessee garden bloggers got together to meet. For some of us, including myself, it was the first time seeing the bloggers behind the screen. Our conversations ranged from garden topics, blogging topics, to air traffic control. So who was there? Who are the faces behind the blogs?
Gail from Clay and Limestone is on the left and Frances (our surprise guest) of Faire Garden is on the right. No that’s not Gail’s baby, she’s holding my almost 9 month old daughter.
Here is a shot of DP of Square Foot gardening in Nashville looking intently into the conversation.
Have you ever met Mother Nature? She walked into the restaurant and and had dinner with us!
Here’s Frances again with my wife and daughter, who was bouncing around. Tina brought these very nice garden plaques for each of us. I had a good time and hope to meet with you all again. I also want to thank Gail, Frances, and Tina for the plants!
The Thrifty Garden Tips will continue next Thursday. I was unable to get the post finished since I spent most of my day working on the patio. The end of that project is in sight!

That is so fantastic!! I wish I had known–I would have come too!! I’m in NC but know my way around TN.
What a great gang. You all look so nice and chatty. I just love to put faces to names. It makes it a smaller world.
Thanks for letting us take a peek.
How great that you were all able to get together in person! It is nice putting a face with the name like Anna said. 🙂
Hi Dave, it was a pleasure to meet you and your lovely family. All three of your females are so very charming, you too! It was fun, wasn’t it? The daylily is Pardon Me, btw.
Very nice! I enjoyed meeting with you all and it is such an experience always. Your family is SO wonderful and delightful! We’ll meet up again for sure. Glad you like the stone. A keepsake for the girls. But they can break so don’t drop it! Do you remember when you taught band camp? It is possible Geri’s daughter Clare was in it as she attended one near Dickson the same week. Is this a small world or what?
What a great idea! I am sure it was a lot of fun.
Dave,
It was fun wasn’t it…I loved meeting you and your very charming daughters, Jenny is a delight, too! The plant you took home is PPPP Phlox pilosa…it can spread! It likes a wildflower garden and smells sweetest in a sunnier spot!
Gail
Hi Dave- It was great meeting you, your wife, and your little babies. I still think they are perfect. Olivia just sat there the entire time and didn’t cry or squirm too much. I think that’s pretty good. And they were both so adorable!
I have to say, the candid pictures you took of us are pretty funny. We’re all have strange looks. lol.
I am so glad you were all able to make the face to face meeting! I wish I had been there as I find it so much fun to meet bloggers. At first you are kind of thinking, oh what will we talk about, we are strangers but as soon as you meet, the words seem to flow! Such a great thing….
Looks like you had a great time. It’s nice to have some faces to put with the names.
Your girls both look so sweet. Your youngest is just a little younger than my baby, who’ll be 10 months next week.
Dave so glad you got to meet each other. Now it's more personal as you can "see" the person you are "talking" with. Looks as though you all had a wonderful time.
Your family is adorable looking. Very cute young gardener you have & the future one tool
Gosh that looks like fun. I need to work on the Florida Folks.
