The young foliage.
The flowers.
A stem covered with bugs!

You got me. I don’t have any of those. Maybe I am suffering from lack of wine; I’ll go enjoy a Friday afternoon glass and try again.
Good game, though! Please keep it up. 🙂
Not sure but it looks like a young blueberry bush. Mine looks like that & it is in a whiskey barrel getting berries on it already. It was blooming when I received it.
Forgot to mention those flies are good fish bait.
It does kind of look like blueberries but I am thinking maybe silverbells? I have no idea!
I am stumped on this one with no guess… The flies are neat and I too was thinking they would make good fish bait…
Do we loose points for no guess? LOL
In the top photo, it almost looks like the bark and leaves of an azalea or rhododendron, and I know I’ve seen those blooms before…but I can’t remember where. 🙂 I’ll have to ponder it for a bit.
I’m going to GUESS that it’s a Pieris or “Lily of the Valley” bush. 🙂
In the top picture I thought Azalea but the flowers completely threw me – I have no idea and have decided it is peculiar to US so I have no hope and give up
I am no longer stumped, I say blueberry… I take hints when I see them…LOL…
I believe you’re right, Skeeter — it does look like a high bush blueberry. Duh!
