Here’s a new take on the name that plant challenge, Name that Seed! See if you can guess what plant these seeds came from and what they could grow to be. Each seed is slightly larger than 1/2 an inch in length and ovular in shape. The one clue that I’ll give you is that it came from a type of fruit tree. Good luck guessing!
I’ll continue with the Designing the Winter Garden series this week. Don’t forget to post your winter garden concept!
I know exactly what it is! But it is so early in your guessing that I don’t want to give it away. If I’m wrong, I’ll fess up as they say.
You got me. I’ll be back to see though.
My guess is Persimmon. Love this tree and think it is under-appreciated in the garden…it can be messy, but it does provide food for critters.
Gail
I’d guess persimmon too Dave. When I first saw the photo, and before I read any of your post, I thought they might be watermelon seeds. I was instantly reminded of how much fun I had as a kid squirting watermelon seeds between my thumb and forefinger.
Hyacinth bean?
No idea Dave, but I'll be back to see if Gail & TC were right. 🙂
I will say persimmon, too.
