Lovely shot Dave. Our echinaceas have zero seeds left on them too. We bought a thistle sock feeder this year to help the poor hungry finches. Not very attractive but the birds seem not to mind. 🙂

Cool, Dave! We always leave ours up (along with all our other seedheads) every winter for the hungry birds! We think they appreciate the shelter as well as the food. (And keeping our Cultivated Wild Meadow standing until spring also helps shield our chickens from the brutal winter wind.)
