Here is the view from one cold January morning in Tennessee. The thermometer read 8.7 degrees Fahrenheit at 7:00 AM this morning. I looked outside and the sky was showing this captivating display.
Feathery white clouds are wisping around while the the peaking sun shines through the skeletal trees. Sometimes cold mornings make the best pictures!

Very Lovely. I miss Tennessee.
Oh Marsha I miss TN also…
I will always be a TN gal at heart no matter where I live!
The sunrise is beautiful Dave but burr on that temp!
Our morning temp was 27 down here in GA and that is cold for the Deep South! We have had more days below freezing then in the past here and I am worried about a few things not surviving in the garden this year. Only time will tell I guess…
Very nice photo Dave and OMG my thermometer was higher than that this morning….but yours will get better much quicker that mine.
Hope your plants are okay Skeeter. They should be if mulched.
I don’t think the temps ever got above 36 today. At least that was the highest I saw the thermometer at. The weekend should warm up though. They even said on Monday it will be in the upper 50’s maybe even 60. They keep changing the forecast so who knows. One forecast said snow tonight, who knows!
Not sure what that temperature is in centigrade, but it looks pretty chilly. Lovely clouds.
Hadn’t come across your blog before, but will be back.
Thanks for stopping by Sue! I looked up the conversion for Fahrenheit to Celsius and it looks something like this:
C = (F – 32) * 5/9
or
F= 9/5 * C + 32
So the 8.7 degrees Fahrenheit converts to -12.9 degrees Celsius. That makes it sound much colder! Our high would have been around 2.2 degrees Celsius.
