While I’m not officially wrapping up the Fall Color Project for this year the entries do seem to be slowing down! More and more leaves are finding their way to the ground, hopefully to become mulch or compost as nature intended!
Today’s entry comes from the blog Garden Sense and shares with us the gorgeous colors that fall foliage brings to shrubs. Brilliant barberries, itea, fothergilla, oak leaf hydrangea, chokeberry, and even azaleas fill this post with plenty of autumn wonder. Go pay a visit to Chris’s post if you haven’t already and enjoy what could be the last of fall’s wondrous foliage!
Thank you to everyone who has participated so far! I’ll be posting the wrap up post before Christmas so if you still have fall colors to share be sure to let me know!
Very pretty!
Such a good idea for a collection, thanks for pointing me to the Garden Sense post!
I love this meme Dave and we've gotten an especially long and extended fall from these posts! Fall does seem to be nearing the end for us in Middle Tennessee~I am not ready for the severe temperature drop next week! gail
Dear Dave
It is winter … but I wish it were still Autumn here and YES ! So many beautiful shrubs that do look gorgeous in the Fall .. I did notice a new little azalea I had planted had amazing foliage but I didn't get pictures soon enough .. making a mental (oops) note for next Autumn though !
Joy : )
Nice post. I like your blog very much.
We're gettin the first of what I'm sure is not the last of our winter snow storms! It's expected to accumulate to around 8 inches. Bah humbug!
