A chance of freezing precipitation was in the forecast for today, but knowing how Tennessee forecasts work I did not put much faith in it. The forecasters begin talking about frosty weather several days in advance and there it remains, several days in advance. It just never seems to arrive. Tonight it did! Above you can see the wet snow laying on top of a Bird’s Nest Spruce.
Here is a shot of the front porch garden bed. It’s in a sad state right now but the snow adds some elegance.
Here is a view from the front porch into our neighbor’s yard. It’s accumulating but we won’t end up with much, we rarely do. I’m just hoping for some daylight snow shots and enough snow tomorrow so that a certain 2 year old can make a little snowman!
Your poor little one, wanting her snowman so desperately and getting only a dusting of snow here and there. I hope you managed to scrape up enough for a mini-man, anyway.
You are right on the money with the weather forecasts here in TN. We got a little, it will be gone soon. Out little guy has to make snowmen out of play doh. Colorful anyway.
I know the forecasters are probably doing the best they can with the predictions. They probably have to give you the worst case scenario as far as conditions go. We just live in a borderline area. We almost get snow very often. Usually it is cold enough for snow with no precipitation or it’s raining but too warm. I’d just like to see a decent one this year. Maybe 4-5 inches that lasts for a couple days. Nothing extreme. Certainly no March 1994!
That should be March of 1993 not 1994!
