A Few Morning Sights in the Garden

With a slight fog in the air the sun’s rays illuminated those morning mists.

The dew glistened on the Silver mound artemisia in the front sidewalk garden.

A purple Mother’s Day rose with its leaves frosted by the morning dew.

If you look close enough you can see the spider web waving in the air.

Morning is a great time to be in the garden!

  1. Good job Dave. That first pic is awesome. I have seen it like that before & I really like it. Sometimes it makes me think that Fall is on the way. Misty mornings sure are enjoyable in the garden. Cool, quiet, peaceful, like your the only one on earth. Glorious.

  2. Morning is the best. I agree. It was a very pleasant 72 degrees this morning in my area. Heaven. Your artemesias are beautiful. Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing your morning.

  3. The first picture looks like one from a magazine! I enlarged the picture but still could not find the spider webbing.

Our street name is Misty Woods so you know we have the mist here and heavy dew each morning.

Morning and late evening is the only time I can get into the yard now. This front better hurry up and get here. We have yard chores planned for most of the day tomorrow!

  4. Early morning in our urban garden is my favorite. The neighborhood is still quiet and the street traffic from down the hill has not gotten busy yet. I can sit there with a cup of coffee and just breathe in the green stillness.

  5. After making a beeline for the coffee pot, the patio and garden are the first places I go. Early mornings are peaceful, meditative times of day for me.

I love when they look like that. Really nice shots Dave.

  6. Lola,

In the morning sometimes it seems like you are the only one around. It’s a good feeling like you said peaceful and quiet!

    Mother Nature,

Thanks for visiting! It was nice and cool here as well. The artemesias have done very well. Very fast growers!

    PG,

I hope very soon to have enough of my garden chores done where I can just make that cup of coffee and sit outside for a bit in the morning. Right now I work and work, it will be worth it in the end!

Thanks Tina! I guess it just likes the spot.

Thanks Skeeter! If Southern Living wants to put it on their cover they are welcome to call me about it! 😉 The spider web is very hard to make out. Some extra dew would have helped.

    Shibaguyz,

Living and working in an urban garden must have its challenges! That peaceful time in the morning must be a necessity.

    Thanks GardenGirl!

I can’t wait to try those pictures with the new camera! Mornings are one of those times that I love to be doing something in the garden, but as I said above I would love to just sit and enjoy it. Maybe soon the projects will get finished.
